I began my journey in arboriculture 36 short years ago. Then, the 30 year average number days in Denver, CO. reaching 90 degrees or higher was 34. In 2018, the average was 42! Changing climate favors pests that prey on our urban forest. I have witnessed this phenomenon.
Healthy trees in our urban forest ameliorate temperatures, capture storm water, and help cleanse the air. We need to care for those trees, both newly planted and existing, with fresh knowledge and innovative processes to help them thrive.
The discovery needed is exactly what is supported by dollars from the TREE Fund. This will be my 22nd tour. In the past 21 events, I have cumulatively raised $135K and pedaled 11K miles. My journey continues. I invite you to join my journey delivering the message about trees and by making a gift to the TREE Fund.
